Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor-Joy was born on April 16, 1996, on the 16th of April 1996 in Miami Florida. Her mother is English, half Spanish. Parents are Dennis Alan Taylor an ex-banker and Jennifer Marina Joy psychologist. Their father is Argentine with Scottish as well as English descent. Her mother has Spanish and English roots. Taylor-Joy is the youngest of five children from her father's prior marriage. They lived within Buenos Aires until she was six years old, and then moved to the Victoria neighborhood of London. According to Taylor-Joy the move was traumatic and she was unable to master English with the intention of relocating back to Argentina. Hill House was the new school she needed to go to following her departure from Northlands. Later, she enrolled in Queen's Gate School where she trained in ballet and appeared in school productions. She dropped out of the high school aged 16 to pursue an acting career. Taylor-Joy was always aware of her desire to be an actress. She was offered a chance to try it by Sarah Doukas founder of Storm Management, who offered her modeling work.
