That same year, she dropped her debut album Know It All with the third single Scars to Your Beautiful being one of the five original songs that peaked at Billboard charts, including those of the Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 and Billboard Hot 100. The song was particularly memorable because it was based on an interview with rapper Rap-Up, many of the listeners shared their experiences of doubting herself and learning how to accept herself. Cara's music is known to include messages of kindness self-love, self-love and mental wellness. Her music is a reflection of her own personal struggles with mental illness and insomnia. Interview with Reuters, she said that her album was "half turbulent" and "half complete". The singer says that she discovered her development during therapy. Alessia Cara was born to Italian parents on the 11th of July 1996. The guitar was gifted to her from her parents at the time she was 10 years old, which sparked her passion for music. She started covering her favorite songs when she was 13, to prove to that world that she was a talented musician and the determination required to be an artist.
