Moroccan-born Sofia Pernas moved to California when she was just 5 years old and grew up living in Orange County. She graduated in 2015 from the University of California San Diego and made her debut in acting. Pernas she had appeared in tiny appearances in NCIS as well as Leverage prior to her debut in the role as Marisa on The Young and the Restless, was a familiar character on the soap. After leaving soap operas her actress was offered the role of Catalina in Jane the Virgin. The model speaks four different languages. She has appeared on The Brave with Hannah Rivera and also The Green Ghost and Secret Society of Second Born Royals. From the year 2019 until 2020, she portrayed Lexi Vaziri in Blood & Treasure. Us Weekly announced in May 20 that Pernas dated Justin Hartley who was her co-star on The Young and the Restless. The couple began dating following The This Is Us star split from her spouse Chrishell Stause November of this year. In May 2021, news was reported that Pernas Hartley was recently engaged in private.
