Mena Alexandra (born on February 13, 1979) is a model and actress from the US. Shortly after beginning her career as a model, she transitioned into acting after appearing in guest roles on 1990's programs on television like Boy Meets World and High Incident. She debuted in the film industry in the 1997 thriller film Nowhere. Through American Beauty and American Pie, she gained wider recognition for her performances. In the following years, she appeared with Jason Biggs in Loser (2000) along with her American Pie co-star Jason Biggs and was later the main role in the comedy film Sugar & Spice (2001). There were appearances on her in the 2002 independent drama Spun and the 2004 thriller film Trauma. In addition, she was a part of the HBO series Six Feet Under. The season aired in 2004. In 2008, Suvari was seen in various films including Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh or the film adaptation to The Garden of Eden. Suvari is a model for Lancome cosmetics, as well as printed ads of Lancome Paris Adaptive in addition to has been featured in several fashion blogs and magazines including Vogue. She is a strong supporter and advocate in the African Medical and Research Foundation, a prestigious charity that offers relief to Africa. She is also involved with women's empowerment issues and is associated with groups that help raise awareness about breast cancer as well as the End Violence Against Women Campaign.
