Jacqueline Fernandez
Jacqueline Fernandez, a Sri Lankan actor and model who is primarily involved in Indian cinema. In 2006, her Miss Sri Lanka Universe title was also won by her. Fernandez was born in Canada and is of Canadian, Sri Lankan, Malaysian and multiracial ancestry, spent most of her growing up in Bahrain. The degree she earned is in mass communications at the University of Sydney. She was employed for a number of years as a TV reporter from Sri Lanka before she entered the world of modeling. When she represented her country in Miss Universe 2006, she has become one of the top actors in Sri Lanka. Her role as Jasmine was cast in Sujoy Ghosh's 'Aladin' as part of her professional tour of India. Her breakout role was in 2011, when she got chosen to play the lead female character Priya in the film 'Murder 2'. The career of Fernandez exploded following the film's critically and commercial success. She has since starred in films like Housefull 2 and 3, 'Race 2', 'Definition of Fear' and Judwaa 2. In addition, she is a spokesperson for several multinational brands. She is active in the community and she's a benefactor to numerous charitable organizations and causes.
